Bag Makers Boot Camp
- Our Bagmaker’s Bootcamp consists of two separate sessions with two projects in each session. Whether you take one or both, the projects designed by Annie Patterns, you will learn the basic skills of bag making. You will learn to work with fabric, vinyl, mesh, zippers, Soft and Stable, and binding.
In session #1 you will make "Call Me" a name tag/cell phone bag and the "Piecekeeper" project bag. The Call Me will give you a place to keep everything handy in a lightweight 7 1/4"H x 4 3/4"W bag. Vinyl, mesh, and a zippered fabric pocket will hold a name tag or ID card, phone, and credit cards or cash. A fabric strap, whose length is determined when binding the edges, can be customized to wear around the neck, over the shoulder, or crossbody. The Piecekeeper will store and carry all your project pieces in a handy zippered bag with attached handle measuring 11"H x 16"W.
In Session #2 you will expand on what you learned in session #1 to make a "Petit Four Basket", a cute little organizational basket that can be used as a desk caddy or for sewing notions or small items, and the "Easy Does It", a small bag perfect to store and carry all your essentials in a handy zippered bag with attached handles. The Petit Four basket and the Easy Does It are perfect for organizing most any project and/or gift giving when you need just a “little something”.
Required supplies: - Clean, well-oiled sewing machine in good working condition, cord, foot control and operating manual
- 1/4" Sewing Foot and Walking Foot
- 50 wt Construction Thread
- 4" x 16' cutting ruler and rotary cutter with new blade
- Marking pen or other marking utensil
- Sewing scissors
- A list of materials can be found on the pattern ByAnnie Basics set of 4.
