Ying-Yang Bag
The classic curved lines of the Ying Yang Bag are easy and fun to sew! It features two interior pockets for items you need to keep secure but access quickly. The well illustrated instructions include a paper template and requires no additional hardware. A Martelli template is available (optional separate purchase) for those who wish to quickly cut either single or multiple patterns at one time.
Required Materials:
- A clean, well-oiled sewing machine with foot control, accessories and manual
- 7/8 yd focus fabric
- 2/3 yd coordinating fabric
- 1/2 yd Soft & Stable, fusible fleece or cotton batting
- Thread 50wt
- Schmetz 90/14 microtex needle
- Good fabric scissors
- Turning tool
- Fabric marker
- Rotary cutter with new blade, cutting mat
- Martelli Ying-Yang Template (Optional)
- Glass head or heat resistant pins

| Skill Details: | Student must be able to follow directions, sew for a several hours with multiple breaks, and have basic sewing skills such as reading a pattern, cutting from a template and sewing straight lines. |
| Materials Included: | Pattern, material, notions and templates are not included. Lunch, snacks and/or drinks are not provided. However, a small refrigerator is available for student use. |
| Requirements: | Students should quilt their fabric and cut out the project pieces prior to class to maximize sewing time in class. It is highly recommended that each pattern piece be clearly labeled as it is cut to minimize confusion during the construction process. |
