The Necessary Clutch Wallet isn’t your ordinary wallet. Carry your cell phone, cheques, cash, cards, coins, and still have room for your favorite lipstick or personal items. With its closed ends, everything stays safe and secure.
Important Pre-Class Note: We strongly recommend purchasing all materials and cutting out your pattern pieces before class begins. This allows maximum time with the instructor and helps you complete your project during class. Extra class time may be scheduled for an additional fee.

- Exterior Fabric: 1 Fat Quarter (18” x 22”) – Quilting cotton, Cork, or Faux Leather
- Lining Fabric: 1 Fat Quarter (18” x 22”) – Quilting cotton
- Pocket Fabric: ½ yard (0.5 m) – Quilting cotton
- Fusible Woven Interfacing: 2 yards (20” wide) – Light to medium weight (e.g. Pellon SF101 Shapeflex)
- Pellon Peltex 71F Ultra Firm Stabilizer: 6” x 9” scrap (fusible preferred)

- 8” (or longer) dress zipper with nylon teeth
- 1 Small Turn Lock (1?” x ¾”) or 1 Heavy Duty Magnetic Snap
- Jeans sewing machine needle (90/14)
- Rotary cutter, mat, and large ruler
- Water-soluble marking pen or chalk pencil
- Wonder Tape (double-sided wash-away fabric tape) or fabric glue stick
- Fray Check / Fray Stop (optional)
- Super strong fabric/craft glue (for turn lock)

Pattern Details
This pattern includes 50 full-color photos (black & white in printed version). Curved pattern pieces are full size with seam allowances included. Cutting instructions are provided for both rotary cutting and scissors. Instructions are given in both imperial and metric. Note: This pattern is not written for directional fabrics. Directional fabrics will require additional yardage.
You may secure your wallet with either a heavy-duty magnetic snap or a professional turn lock.
You are purchasing the printed paper pattern and classroom instruction only. You will take home the wallet you make in class.
