1. Carry everything you need in these sturdy organizers. The front zips open for easy access to rulers, cutting mats, sketchbooks, tools, and supplies. The small portfolio holds a 12" x 18" mat; the large holds an 18" x 24"
2. Supplies needed:
* Pattern - Tools of the Trade by Annie
* Main fabric (body, ends, pockets, padded sleeve) 2-1/2 yards
* Lining fabric (bag lining, pockets, padded sleeve) 2-1/2 yards
* Coordinating fabric (bindings, borders, facing, 2 yards
fabric divider, stabilizer sleeve)
* Soft & Stable by Annie 72" x 58"
* Mesh fabric (inner pocket) 1/2 yard
* Fusible woven interfacing 1 yard
* Fold-over elastic 1-3/4 yards
* Handbag zippers One 24" single-slide
Three 30" double-slide
* 1-1/2" strapping 5 yards
* Hardware Two 1-1/2" D-rings or triangle rings
One 1" wide-mouth slider
* Base stabilizer (clear acrylic or equivalent) 4-1/2" x 21-1/2"
* 14mm sew-in magnetic snap Two sets
* Heat resistant pins or Wonder Clips
* Good quality fabric scissors
* Fabric marker or chalk
* Double-sided tape
* Microtex 90/14 needle
* 1/4" foot, general purpose foot, and walking foot
* Thread - good construction thread such as Aurifil or So Fine
* Rotary cutter with new blade and cutting mat

| Skill Details: | Students should have a working knowledge of their sewing machine; know how to use basic sewing tools such as rotary cutters and rulers; have the ability to read a pattern and perform basic tasks such as quilting fabric without an instructor; cut out & label the project. |

| Requirements: | Student should bring their machine, cleaned, oiled and in good working condition with al normal sewing accessories to include the power cord, foot control, slide on tray if your machine has one and the manual you received when you purchased your machine. HOMEWORK BEFORE CLASS !!! Read instructions of the pattern. Following instructions, quilt fabric and cut all pieces. Label each piece as it is cut! Labeling each piece as you cut them will keep this process organized and make your class time more productive. |
