Freeport Gatherer Baskets Confident Beginner to Intermediate Sewing Class
Stiff as clothesline, light as a feather, and so much fun to make! These generous fabric baskets by Aunties Two are perfect for market hauls, garden gathering, sewing supplies, or stylish home organization. Made using a clever wrapped clothesline technique with double-sided fusible batting, they create sturdy yet lightweight baskets with beautiful structure.
Important Pre-Class Note: We strongly recommend purchasing all materials and cutting out your pattern pieces before class begins. This allows maximum time with the instructor and helps you complete your project during class. Extra class time may be scheduled for an additional fee.

- Fabric Strips: 3 yards total or 40 strips 2½” x 42/44” (Large) – Bali Pops or quilting cotton (one or two fabrics recommended)
- Double-Sided Fusible Batting: 2 yards (Bosal Duet-Fuse II or similar)
- Clothesline: Approximately 35–45 yards (¼” or 7/32” cotton clothesline)
